Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java & Microservices Engineer with extensive experience in building scalable backend systems and leading development teams. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Kafka, and cloud platforms, along with a solid understanding of the banking domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices, REST APIs, and web clients using Java and Spring Boot.
- Work extensively with MongoDB, including data modeling, access patterns, sharding, query optimization, and data migration.
- Design and implement messaging solutions using Kafka.
- Implement security features such as authentication, authorization, and encryption for MongoDB.
- Work with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Agile tools, source control systems, and design tools for efficient development and deployment.
- Analyze business requirements and prepare relevant technical documentation.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and code reviews.
- Engage with client stakeholders and drive technical conversations.
- Develop, test, deploy applications, and provide fixes for issues identified during testing and production.
- Support SIT, UAT, and production deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production defects efficiently.
- Apply strong domain knowledge in Banking, including Credit Services, Home Lending, Unsecured Lending, Auto Lending, and Credit Decisioning.
- Work with or have exposure to Credit Decisioning systems such as Zoot and FICO.
