Java Software Engineer

Responsibilities

● Design and develop high-throughput, low-latency backend systems for large-scale

real-time data processing.

● Build and maintain event-driven pipelines using Kafka and MQTT.

● Develop secure and scalable REST/gRPC APIs with proper authentication, authorization,

and rate limiting.

● Deploy and manage microservices architecture using Docker and Kubernetes.

● Optimize SQL queries and maintain relational databases for performance.

● Ensure data consistency across distributed systems.

● Improve backend throughput using multi-threading and concurrency control.

● Implement monitoring/observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.

● Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using Git/Bitbucket/Jenkins/GitHub Actions.

● Handle cloud deployments on AWS/GCP ensuring scalability and reliability.

● Perform code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and architecture discussions.

● Integrate third-party APIs with secure communication standards.

● Maintain real-time data synchronization systems processing millions of records.

● Implement asynchronous pipelines using Pub/Sub and Redis caching.

● Manage zero-downtime schema migrations with backward-compatible deployments.

● Contribute to legacy-to-microservices migration initiatives.

● Implement resilience patterns like retry/backoff, idempotency, and fault tolerance.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.

● 3–5 years of backend development experience.

● Strong hands-on expertise in Java/Spring Boot.

● Working knowledge of Go/Python is a plus.

● Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, MQTT.

● Strong understanding of SQL, RDBMS design, and optimization.

● Knowledge of AWS/GCP cloud deployment.

● Familiarity with JWT, OAuth2, RBAC, OWASP security practices.

● Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.

● Strong understanding of Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture.

● Experience in real-time distributed synchronization systems.

● Hands-on exposure to Redis caching and Pub/Sub models.

● Experience with zero-downtime deployments/schema migration.

● Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

● Ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environments
