Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications in a cloud-based environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS, with the ability to work on complex systems and contribute to end-to-end development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain middle-tier business logic, architecture, and APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Design and build scalable web applications leveraging AWS services
• Perform software design, code reviews, and ensure best coding practices
• Work on complex technical problems requiring deep analysis and solutioning
• Define and document business and functional requirements for system development and testing
• Support BAU (Business-as-Usual) activities and production issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot in an AWS environment
• At least 3+ years of experience in implementing SOAP and REST APIs
• Strong experience with:
• Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA
• Containerization (Docker)
• Relational databases (RDS) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
• Distributed caching mechanisms
• Hands-on experience in designing scalable and high-performance systems

Good to Have

• Experience with AWS services (EKS, cloud-native tools)
• Exposure to DevSecOps practices and tools
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, and CyberArk
• Knowledge of AI tools (e.g., Amazon Q, Kiro)
• Understanding of the Payments domain
