Java Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain scalable, distributed, and event-driven applications using Kafka and messaging infrastructure.
• Work with AWS services, particularly AWS Glue and AWS Lambda.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications using Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Use GitHub Copilot for specification-driven development.
• Work with databases including SQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications in production environments.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents within an enterprise environment.
• Analyze Splunk logs to identify application issues and determine root causes.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring production issues.
• Participate in regression testing and automated testing activities.
• Develop and maintain unit and behavior-driven tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
• Follow TDD practices wherever applicable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, Product, and other engineering teams.
• Work within Agile methodologies and contribute to CI/CD practices.
• Ensure application resiliency, security, scalability, and performance.

Mandatory Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Java and related technologies
• Spring & Spring Boot
• AWS – hands-on experience with AWS Glue and Lambda
• Kubernetes
• Terraform
• Apache Kafka & messaging infrastructure
• SQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB
