Job Description

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 67 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience in Java or Python for backend development.
• Expertise in REST API development, microservices architecture, and batch processing.
• Familiarity with ORM frameworks, PostgreSQL, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS/ECS) and Docker.
• Knowledge of secure programming practices, cloud security principles, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with source control tools (Git, Bitbucket) and Agile workflows.
• Proven ability to design and implement large-scale, business-critical systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to review backend code and optimize performance.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead technical discussions across teams.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and batch processing systems.
• Implement secure APIs and integrate with front-end and third-party services.
• Lead technical design discussions and propose solutions for complex backend challenges.
• Ensure operational readiness and provide Level 3 support for backend issues.
• Collaborate with onshore/offshore teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Optimize backend systems for performance, security, and reliability.
• Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and best practices for backend development.
