Job Description: MES Industrialization Lead (1 no)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced MES Industrialization Lead of about 8+ years to take charge of industrialization of design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions across a variety of production environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrialization and automation suites across MES/ERP system integration, with practical experience in Java-based technology stacks.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience building industrialization and automation suites for intuitive dashboards that provide operators with step-by-step visual instructions, ensuring equipment at each workstation is controlled accurately.
- Experience for industrialization and automations suites for MES Feature Implementation: Implement and enhance key MES functionalities such as Worker Guidance, Poka Yoke error-proofing, Parameter Calculation, Traceability, and Plausibility checks.
- Experience for industrialization and automations suites for Equipment Communication Integration: Integrate and manage communications with a wide range of equipment, including Pick By Light systems, electrical screwdrivers, presses, printers, measuring devices, robots, and specialized fixtures.
- Product and Process Independence: Ensure that MES solutions remain independent of specific products and processes to support diverse production requirements.
- System Layer Collaboration: Work closely with MES/ERP system layers to achieve seamless integration of data and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in developing industrialization and automation solutions within a MES Java environment.
- Practical experience with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Security, SOAP, REST, and JMS interfaces.
- Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, and the Oracle database engine.
- Ability to design comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases that align closely with business requirements.
- Experience executing various testing activities, including functional, regression, retesting, and release testing, as well as precise and timely defect reporting and tracking in an MES environment.
- Support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinating activities with business teams.
- Provide regular updates on project status, risk assessments, and quality metrics to maintain transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure that test cases are completed and executed within established sprint timelines, including providing daily status updates during testing phases.
- Lead and manage the manual testing team, efficiently distributing workloads and maintaining a test backlog that includes new feature tests, regression tests, and retests.
- Oversee release testing and ensure readiness for production deployments.
- Align test cases and scenarios with business requirements and UAT objectives through close coordination with business stakeholders.
- Review and approve test plans, test cases, and defect reports, ensuring bugs are reported and tracked promptly and accurately using test management tools.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies and processes, including creating test plans based on user stories and producing cyclic reports that offer insights from identified issues.
- Maintain responsibility for delivering high-quality products and preparing comprehensive test strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Solution Owners, and Business representatives.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of MES/ERP architecture and best practices for integration.
- Exhibit strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and equipment vendors.
- Show the capability to work independently and adapt MES solutions to address the needs of various manufacturing processes and products.
- Extremely strong in communication skills and able to articulate well along with team collaboration, spirit and managing cross functional and direct teams.
Additional Information
- Location: Pune preferred, but open to other locations.
- Employment Type: Primarily full-time, but contract-to-hire is also an option.
