Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Java Developer to support the design, development, and testing of LifeFactory, a core system developed by our partner msg life for the life insurance sector in Germany. This is a dynamic role requiring strong technical expertise, agile development experience, and a collaborative mindset to work with international teams.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate in the design, development, and testing of Java-based enterprise applications for life insurance systems.
Work closely with German counterparts and follow agile methodologies.
Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing to the evolution of existing systems.
Develop, test (including writing test cases and automation scripts), and document complex Java modules based on specifications.
Customize, install, configure, and integrate standard software components.
Support deployment processes and training for production rollout.
Provide application support, monitor system performance, and identify service improvement opportunities.
Mentor new team members and take ownership of assigned system components.
Technical Skills Required
Strong experience in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Maven, and Eclipse.
Proficient in databases: DB2 and PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience in Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOA/OOD), UML.
Familiarity with HTML5, JavaScript, JSF, XML/XSLT.
Understanding of Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) is a plus.
Nice To Have
Exposure to HP-ALM testing tools (manual & automation).
Experience with JIRA, Confluence.
Background in financial or insurance domain is a plus.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
Candidates from non-IT backgrounds must have at least 1 year of relevant experience.
MBA in IT/Insurance/Finance can apply for Requirements Engineer or Test Engineer roles.
Certifications
Not mandatory, but relevant technical certifications are an advantage.
