Java Fullstack Developer with Angular + AWS <> Cognizant

Job Summary

We are seeking a senior software engineer responsible for designing developing and maintaining secure and scalable web applications and microservices using Java Spring boot and Angular deployed on cloud native services. Collaborate in an agile hybrid work environment to deliver reliable consumer facing solutions that optimize performance improve customer experience and align with enterprise quality and security standards.

Responsibilities

Design and implement robust Java and Spring boot microservices that are secure resilient and optimized for high performance in a cloud native environment

Develop rich front end features using Angular and Angular JS that deliver intuitive and accessible user experiences for complex business workflows

Build and maintain RESTful APIs that ensure consistent contracts clear versioning and reliable integration with internal and external consumer applications

Configure and optimize AWS services including Lambda ECS S3 and related components to support scalable application deployments and efficient operations

Design and manage data models using SQL and Oracle SQL that promote data integrity efficient querying and maintainable schema evolution practices

Collaborate closely with agile squads to refine user stories estimate effort and deliver incremental value through iterative development and continuous feedback

Use GitHub for source management by enforcing branching strategies code reviews and pull request workflows that improve code quality and maintainability

Implement automated unit and integration tests that increase system reliability support refactoring efforts and reduce regression risk during frequent releases

Troubleshoot and resolve complex production incidents by performing root cause analysis and implementing durable fixes that improve long term system stability

Optimize application performance through profiling query tuning and resource usage analysis to meet response time and throughput expectations

Document technical designs service contracts and deployment runbooks in a clear and structured manner to support future maintenance and knowledge sharing

Partner with product and business partners to translate functional requirements into technical solutions that align with consumer lending objectives when applicable

Mentor junior engineers through code walkthroughs pair programming and constructive feedback that elevate overall team craftsmanship and delivery quality

Qualifications

Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java and Spring boot microservices with extensive experience building distributed systems for complex business domains

Show hands on experience with Angular and Angular JS front end development including state management modular architecture and responsive design practices

Exhibit solid knowledge of RESTful API design principles including request validation error handling and secure access patterns for external consumers

Display practical experience with AWS services such as Lambda ECS S3 and RDS while building scalable and observable cloud based applications

Possess advanced skills in SQL and Oracle SQL covering data modeling query optimization and tuning for transactional and reporting use cases

Apply agile methodologies in day to day work including backlog refinement sprint planning daily stand ups and retrospectives within a hybrid work model

Bring familiarity with consumer lending or financial services processes which helps in designing solutions that address regulatory and customer experience needs
