We are looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, REST APIs, and GIS technologies. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining scalable web applications with geospatial and mapping capabilities.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience developing full-stack applications and working with GIS platforms, spatial data, mapping services, and geospatial APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based full-stack applications.
- Develop robust backend services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
- Build responsive and user-friendly web applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Integrate GIS and mapping capabilities into web applications.
- Work with GIS platforms and geospatial technologies such as ArcGIS, GeoServer, OpenLayers, Leaflet, or similar tools.
- Develop and integrate geospatial REST APIs and map services.
- Work with spatial data formats such as GeoJSON, WMS, WFS, etc.
- Develop applications that support map visualization, spatial search, location-based services, and geospatial data processing.
- Work with spatial databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS or Oracle Spatial.
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs.
- Troubleshoot application, API, GIS, and database-related issues.
- Collaborate with business analysts, GIS specialists, architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, deployment, and production support.
- Follow Agile/Scrum development practices.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Java 8/11/17/21.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience in Angular and TypeScript.
- Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Experience with Microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with GIS / Geospatial technologies.
- Experience with at least one GIS platform/tool such as:
- ArcGIS / Esri
- GeoServer
- OpenLayers
- Leaflet
- Similar GIS technologies.
- Experience working with spatial databases, preferably PostgreSQL/PostGIS or Oracle Spatial.
- Good understanding of geospatial data, coordinate systems, map layers, spatial queries, and map services.
- Experience integrating GIS APIs/services with web applications.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
Good to Have
- Experience with ArcGIS Server / ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Experience with ArcGIS JavaScript API.
- Knowledge of WMS, WFS, WMTS, GeoJSON, KML and other geospatial data formats.
- Experience with AWS/Azure.
- Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks.
- Exposure to location-based applications or utilities, telecom, transportation, infrastructure, or similar GIS domains.
