Role Overview

MetLife is seeking experienced Software Engineers to contribute to its digital and AI transformation. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native software solutions while working in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop applications using modern technologies (Front-end, Back-end, APIs, Databases).
• Implement best practices for cloud, AI/Data, and emerging technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with global teams to drive digital transformation.
• Follow Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent
• Experience: 4+ years in application software development, cloud-native applications, and APIs
• Tech Stack: Java (Spring Boot), ReactJS, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Azure Kubernetes, CI/CD (Azure DevOps), Swift, React Native
• Languages: Business proficiency in English and Japanese.
• AI-Quotient: Proven experience leveraging AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude CLI to optimize and automate SDLC areas, along with practical experience integrating LLMs and modern AI frameworks into cloud-native Java architectures.
• Other Skills: Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
