Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Backend Java Developer to join our fintech product engineering team. You will play a critical role in building secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems that power our financial services platform. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop backend services and APIs using Java (preferably Java 17+), with a focus on financial transaction processing, data integrity, and security.
- Build microservices architecture to support modular and scalable fintech applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, compliance, and security to deliver robust financial solutions.
- Implement and maintain integrations with payment gateways, banking APIs, and third-party financial services.
- Optimize performance for high-throughput and low-latency transaction systems.
- Conduct code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and maintain high code quality standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring uptime and reliability.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership within the team.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of backend development experience using Java.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA.
- Solid understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with financial systems, payment processing, or banking integrations.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficient in relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of security best practices in fintech (encryption, authentication, authorization).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) for real-time data processing.
- Exposure to distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
- Contributions to fintech open-source projects.
