About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team at TCS. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications using Java technologies. This role involves working on complex microservices architecture, integrating various databases, and implementing robust APIs to support enterprise-level solutions. The successful applicant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions adhering to Agile methodologies. They will also play a key role in the solution design process, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the delivery of reliable, efficient, and secure backend systems. Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Java development, with a strong background in building enterprise applications. Proficiency in Java 17 and related frameworks is essential. Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Spring Boot, microservices architecture, NoSQL databases such as Redis, Mango, and Cassandra, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and DevOps practices is required. Strong understanding of RESTful services, Hibernate, JPA, and messaging systems like IBM MQ and JMS is necessary. Additional experience with GraphQL, resilience4j, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure will be considered a plus. Candidates must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work in Agile teams, and a commitment to quality and best coding practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test backend application components in accordance with project requirements and best practices. Participate actively in solution design discussions and provide technical insights to enhance system architecture. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, ensuring a minimum of 90% JUnit test coverage at the API level. Conduct unit testing and automate functional tests using tools like Selenium to ensure software quality. Debug and resolve defects promptly, maintaining system stability and performance. Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools such as Jenkins, to facilitate automated build, testing, and deployment processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features on time and within scope, adhering to Agile methodologies and bank's coding/testing policies. Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements during Agile Show and Tell sessions. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions. Contribute to the development of scalable, secure, and maintainable backend systems that meet business needs and technical standards.
