We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer
Role Description
- This is a role for F24 Feedzai Integration Team which is a best in class transaction fraud detection/monitoring application for HSBC
- This is for a Global role working on projects in Asia, Middle East, Europe, and Americas, current install base is for 25+ countries.
- Role location is in India but team is geographically dispersed with other team members in India, UK, US and Poland and regional teams located in Hong Kong and Mexico.
- Overall department has moved to Agile/POD organization, this specific role is part of F24 Feedzai Integration POD.
- Role will be with engineering/integration POD supporting architecture and design, future state integrations, development, improving processes to support aggressive business plans.
- The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering the business requirements with quality deliverables and adhering to various HSBC processes.
- Role will be responsible for development and deployment projects however will be working closely with teams in different geographies, responsible for business facing meetings/coordination in many countries as the business requires to support our global model
Core Requirements
- Collaborative, team focused (willing to share information) with ability to work with others (other POD members, other PODS, ITID teams, project managers, etc)
- Articulate, excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Assist with Resource Allocation tasks
- Create estimates for large projects, review small project estimates
- Participate, as application service owner delegate in Major Outage review/Major Incident reviews
- Serve as primary point of contact with regions
- L3 production support, including development of support procedures, escalation matrix, and on call calendar
- Experience with Agile and DevOps models/projects
- Understanding complex business problems and requirements across different parts of the functional architecture and shaping technical outcomes
- Oversee the technical design
- Analyze and develop code as per specifications
- Review of design/code/Unit test results
- Creating testing with unit test plans, Conduct unit testing and system integration testing
- Ready to support production deployment and post development implementation activities
Technical Skills Required
- 4+ years of software development experience
- Strong technical and problem solving skills
- Should have experience in design and development of medium to high complex problems
- Strong handson Knowledge of JAVA and SpringBoot Framework and should be able to work agnostic to technologies
- Experience in APIs and Microservices is needed
- Exposure to authentication methodologies supported by RestAPI such as OAuth, DSP.
- Exposure to external cloud platform and migrating in house applications to cloud is a plus
- Experience working in Agile/Devops teams and way of working
Soft Skills Required
- Degree in Computer Science or IT related disciplines
- Experience with writing complex business/technical analysis deliverables within the context of large scale change initiatives
- Integration experience including working with external vendors
- Ability to collaborate with team members within and outside of primary team
- Experience with presentations, facilitation of meetings, etc. a plus
- Organized, self-starter, highly motivated team player
- Creative outside the box thinker
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexible and able to change priorities as necessary
- Be able to explain very technical situations in terms the business and people outside our area can understand
