Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer (Lead Level) who will be responsible for designing and developing scalable backend systems and microservices. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in Java, leadership experience, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
- Optimize existing applications and improve system performance
- Develop and manage SQL queries and database schemas
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket
- Perform API testing and debugging using tools like Postman and IDEs
- Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Work with technologies like GKE, Spanner, BigQuery, Redis, and MongoDB
- Ensure smooth integration with frontend systems
- Mentor junior developers and enforce coding standards
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure system scalability and reliability
- Utilize AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and AI tools
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 9+ years of experience in backend development using Java
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a lead role
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture
- Proficiency in SQL database design, optimization, and querying
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket)
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman
- Familiarity with modern IDEs (IntelliJ, Eclipse, etc.)
- Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure)
- Knowledge of GKE, Spanner, BigQuery, Redis, MongoDB
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
