About the Role
We are looking for a Coding Agent (Java) – Freelancer to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on enterprise software development, backend engineering, and scalable application design.
In this role, you will work with AI-generated code outputs related to Java programming, APIs, object-oriented design, multithreading, and distributed systems, helping improve how AI models generate and reason about production-quality software solutions.
You will collaborate with global AI and engineering teams to assess the correctness, scalability, and maintainability of AI-generated code. Your contributions will directly enhance AI systems used for coding assistance, enterprise applications, and software engineering workflows.
Responsibilities
- Create deliverables addressing common requests within your professional domain, including backend workflows, API development, and optimization strategies
- Annotate and evaluate AI-generated Java code responses across different software engineering scenarios
- Review peer-developed deliverables to enhance AI research quality and consistency
- Diagnose and solve real-world backend and application development challenges to improve AI reasoning capabilities
- Assess AI-generated code for correctness, scalability, readability, and performance
- Identify bugs, inefficient implementations, logical inconsistencies, or edge-case failures in AI-generated solutions and provide structured feedback
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI models focused on Java programming and enterprise software systems
Requirements
- Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming concepts
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, APIs, and backend development
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, or related technologies is preferred
- Familiarity with databases, multithreading, and distributed systems concepts
- Ability to critically evaluate code quality, architecture, and software engineering best practices
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
