Job Description

As aJava Backend Engineer, you will design, develop, optimize, and maintain backend services, REST APIs, and WebSocket modules using modern Java frameworks and technologies. You will collaborate with global teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-performance solutions that power IDrives SaaS products.

What you will be doing:

Backend development & architecture

Develop, optimize & maintainJava (8+) backendservices, experience withJava 17/21is a plus
Build microservices using open-source frameworks: Spring IO, Spring MVC, Spring Hibernate, Spring Boot
Design and implementRESTful APIs & WebSocket communication module
ApplySOLID principles, design patterns & clean code practices

Infrastructure & CI/CD

Develop and deploy services onLinux/Debianenvironments
Use Eclipse, Maven, Gradle, DB tools, GitHub Actions (CI/CD), Bitbucket/JIRA/Confluence
Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging & automation

Data & communication systems

Work withSQLite (preferred), MySQL, PostgreSQL
Work withapplication servers: Apache Tomcat 6.x, JBoss 4.0.
ImplementWebSocket security(auth, sessions, secure messaging)
Contribute to architectural decisions and API standardization

Collaboration & best practices

Participate in code reviews, design discussions & sprint planning
Work with QA, DevOps, Product & UX teams in anAgileenvironment

What we expect from you:

3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Core & Enterprise Java
Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA
Strong understanding of REST, WebSockets, and API security
Proficient with SQL databases & schema design
(SQLite preferred; MySQL/PostgreSQL a plus)
Knowledge of web architecture & design patterns
Comfortable working on Linux-based deployments & shell scripting
Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

Good to have

Exposure toDockeror containerized deployments
Familiarity withfrontend frameworks(React, Angular, Vue)
Experience incloud storage, backup systems, or enterprise SaaS
Strong debugging, analytical & communication skills
