Java Backend Developer

Role Description

We're looking for a Backend Developer (2–4 years experience) who will work closely with senior engineers to build, enhance, and maintain backend services — contributing to API development, database design, and bug fixes while sharpening your skills in scalable system design. Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend modules using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and implement REST APIs under guidance from senior engineers.
• Work with relational databases — writing and optimizing queries.
• Fix bugs and enhance existing features in production systems.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.

Required skills & qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Good working knowledge of Java / Advanced Java and Spring Boot.
• Basic understanding of JSON, JWT, and relational databases (PostgreSQL / MSSQL).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a genuine willingness to learn and grow.
• Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD basics.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).

Good to have

• Exposure to AWS.
• Basic understanding of Docker.
• Exposure to Agile methodology.
