Java Backend Developer – AWS
Description
We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with strong AWS expertise to join our dynamic team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, microservices, cloud infrastructure, and serverless application development, with a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain server-side applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Design and implement serverless workflows using AWS Step Functions.
- Develop and integrate various AWS services to build scalable serverless applications.
- Work with AWS Lambda, including developing Lambda functions using Python.
- Develop and manage APIs using Amazon API Gateway.
- Work with Amazon RDS and other AWS services for application development and data management.
- Utilize AWS services for deploying, managing, and monitoring applications in the cloud.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance, scalability, and security.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience in Java backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, RDS, and other cloud services.
- Good knowledge of serverless architecture and serverless application development.
- Experience developing AWS Lambda functions using Python.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful web services and API development.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Good understanding of cloud-native application development and AWS best practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with additional AWS services such as S3, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience in designing and developing scalable, highly available applications.
