Summary:
As part of the Regulatory Platform Technology organization, this role expects high standards of engineering excellence with a strong conceptual understanding in design, development, testing, and maintenance of large-scale systems that help Company satisfy the standards and policy requirements of regulatory agencies in countries where Company operates.
Responsibilities:
- Practice technical design, develop new functionality, and maintain existing components.
- Design and implement highly available and scalable back-end software components in Java.
- Conduct design and code reviews, fix bugs, and resolve production issues.
- Isolate problems, perform root cause analysis, and report bugs.
- Identify project risks and recommend actions to minimize risk levels.
- Adhere to policies, standards, and frameworks (e.g., SDLC, Change Management, Risk & Security).
- Guide the team on using Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel.
- Support and educate the Product Owner, especially regarding grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
Requirements:
- At least 6 years of solid server-side development experience.
- Proficiency in Java and back-end development utilizing Java EE technologies (Java, application servers, JPA, Spring MVC, Hibernate).
- Experience working with relational databases.

- Solid foundational knowledge of computer engineering and intellectual curiosity to understand the business.
- Strong OOP skills and the ability to analyze requirements.
- Passion for developing robust, scalable software systems.
- Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

- Experience with REST APIs, Web Services, Unit Testing, and functional testing.
- Effective communication skills and accountability.
