Job Description
- Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements using Java and SQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product) across the SDLC.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support deployments with root-cause analysis.
- Assist in developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Participate in CI/CD workflows and contribute to testing and debugging efforts.
- Help maintain documentation and support data-driven development initiatives.
- Contribute as a Sr. Individual Contributor within a team of top engineers
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers
- Direct problem-solving for projects or major phases of projects to resolve software technical issues
- Plan and coordinate cross-team activities to complete assignments.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Java development - preferably in the financial markets.
- Working experience in Java, SQL, Unix, Autosys and Agile.
- Experience with Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Boot.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced in writing technical architecture documentation.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins/GitHub.
- Strong exposure & understanding with various AWS cloud services.
- Exposure and good understanding in AWS and Databricks implementation.
- Experienced, highly skilled in the following technologies as an architect/design lead and developer level Java, J2EE, on-prem to cloud migration.
- End to end understanding of software architecture, design, development and implementation.
- Strong Practical experience using Scrum, Agile modelling and adaptive software development.
- Continuous integration and build process, test automation and deployment experience.
- Ability to understand and grasp the big picture of system components.
- Experience building environment and architecture and design guides and architecture and application blueprints.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- AWS, Azure and Databricks
- Phyton, Spark and Scala.
