Job Description

Key Responsibilities of a Java Architect:

System Design:

  • Defining the overall structure of Java applications, including components, interactions, and technologies.

Technical Leadership:

  • Providing guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

Technology Evaluation:

  • Assessing new technologies and frameworks for their suitability in the project and recommending their adoption.

Performance Optimization:

  • Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in Java applications.

Security:

  • Ensuring that Java applications are designed and implemented with security best practices in mind.

Collaboration:

  • Working with stakeholders, including business analysts and other development teams, to understand requirements and ensure alignment.

Staying Updated:

  • Keeping abreast of the latest trends and advancements in the Java ecosystem.

Troubleshooting:

  • Identifying and resolving complex technical issues and design flaws.

Documenting Designs:

  • Creating clear and comprehensive architectural documentation for the project.

Skills Required:

  • Strong Java programming skills:Deep understanding of Java language and its core concepts.
  • Proficiency in Java frameworks and libraries:Expertise in frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, and others relevant to the project.
  • Knowledge of architectural patterns:Familiarity with various architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, layered architecture).
  • Understanding of databases:Experience with relational databases and designing database schemas.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices:Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills:Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills:Ability to identify and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills:Ability to guide and mentor development teams.
