Role: Java API Automation Tester
Location: Bangalore (Whitefield – L-Center, EPIP Industrial Area)
Experience: 7–12 Years
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Java API Automation Tester to design and execute automation frameworks for API testing. The role focuses on ensuring quality, performance, and reliability of backend systems and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop API automation frameworks using Java
- Create and execute test cases for REST/SOAP APIs
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing
- Validate responses, data integrity, and service performance
- Work with tools like Rest Assured, Postman, or similar
- Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines
- Identify, debug, and track defects
- Collaborate with development and QA teams
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Java-based automation testing
- Hands-on experience with API testing (REST/SOAP)
- Experience with tools like Rest Assured / Postman / SoapUI
- Good understanding of automation frameworks (TestNG/JUnit)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git)
- Strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC and testing concepts
Good to Have:
- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber)
- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter)
- Knowledge of database testing (SQL)
- Experience in Agile environments
