Jasper Reports - Java

Key Purpose of the Role:

• Design, develop, and implement Jasper Reports based on prototype layouts and SQL queries on PostgreSQL or other databases.
• Take primary responsibility for report development and analysis to ensure accurate, insightful, and visually appealing outputs.
• Collaborate with developers, database admins, and business analysts to deliver high-quality reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

Report Development & Analysis

• Create Jasper Reports using JasperSoft Studio and deploy them via JasperServer.
• Translate business requirements into actionable reports and dashboards.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and proper formatting in all reports.

Database & Technical Implementation

• Write efficient SQL queries on PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or other supported databases.
• Apply standard software development principles to reporting tasks.
• Work with other interactive visualization tools like Power BI as needed.

Collaboration & Agile Practices

• Work closely with team members to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions.
• Participate in agile development practices using Jira for task management and tracking.
• Take ownership of tasks and deliver reliable work while meeting deadlines.

Continuous Learning & Innovation

• Stay updated with new reporting tools, technologies, and frameworks.
• Suggest enhancements in reporting processes and visualization approaches.
• Design visually appealing, user-friendly, and actionable reports for stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Experience

• 2 to 4 years in Jasper Reports development or BI reporting roles.
• Experience working in agile environments.

Technical Competencies

• JasperSoft Studio, JasperServer
• SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
• Core Java
• SpringBoot (Optional)
• Angular or other UI framework (Optional)
