Role Overview

NDU seeks to appoint a qualified and motivated Japanese Language Trainer to deliver high-quality Japanese language instruction to students of NDU Bangalore Campus. The trainer will support language proficiency development aligned with academic, professional, and international collaboration needs.

Key Responsibilities

●       Teach Japanese language classes (Beginner to Intermediate/Advanced levels) as per the curriculum prescribed by NDU.

●       Develop and deliver lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.

●       Focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, with emphasis on real-world/professional communication.

●       Prepare students for Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) levels (N5–N3) as applicable or mandated by the respective company.

●       Conduct evaluations, tests, and continuous assessments, and submit academic reports.

●       Support students in understanding Japanese culture, etiquette, and professional communication.

●       Coordinate with academic departments for industry-oriented or study-abroad language requirements.

●       Participate in academic activities such as workshops, language labs, and international programs.

●       Maintain attendance, performance records, and comply with institutional academic policies.

Eligibility & Qualifications

●       Bachelor's/Master's degree in Japanese Language / Japanese Studies / Linguistics or a related field.

●       JLPT N2 certification is mandatory.

●       Prior university teaching or training experience in Japanese language (minimum 1–2 years preferred).

●       Strong command of English (and/or regional language) for effective instruction.

Skills & Competencies

●       Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

●       Ability to engage students using interactive and innovative teaching methods.

●       Familiarity with digital teaching tools, language labs, or online learning platforms.

●       Cultural sensitivity and enthusiasm for cross-cultural education.

●       Strong organizational and documentation skills.
