Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Japanese Language Expert to work on a contractor basis. In this role you will apply native‑level Japanese proficiency to improve the quality of AI training data. Your contributions will directly influence how next‑generation language models understand and generate Japanese text and speech, supporting AI applications across finance, healthcare, and engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and correct machine‑generated Japanese transcriptions to ensure grammatical accuracy, natural flow, and cultural relevance.

• Record short, high‑quality audio clips (approximately ten seconds each) using a laptop microphone, following provided scripts and pronunciation guidelines.

• Maintain a quiet, distraction‑free recording environment to guarantee clear audio capture without background noise.

• Deliver verbal recordings that are expressive, correctly paced, and aligned with project specifications for tone and intonation.

• Collaborate with the client's team of transcriptionists and audio specialists to uphold consistency, share feedback, and resolve any linguistic ambiguities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated fluency in Japanese, both written and spoken, with the ability to discern subtle nuances in tone, dialect, and context.

• Proven experience in audio recording or voice‑over work, including the use of standard consumer‑grade microphones and basic sound‑editing tools.

• Strong attention to detail, enabling precise identification and correction of transcription errors and inconsistencies.

• Effective verbal communication skills, allowing clear articulation of feedback and suggestions to interdisciplinary teams.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting project deadlines and adhering to quality standards.
