The Role
Job Description
In Japanese speaking bilingual technical specialist at Kyndryl, you will be critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our customers IT infrastructure.You'llbe the mastermind behindmaintainingandoptimizingtheir systems, ensuringthey'realways running at peak performance. You will interact with the Account team and Customer, so you are expected to be fluent in Japanese language, understanding Japanese work culture will be an added advantage.
Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
Japanese Language & Customer Communication
Act as aprimary Japanese language interfacebetween OKI Electric Japan stakeholders and offshore delivery teams
Participate indaily/weekly meetings, incident calls, reviews, and escalationsin Japanese
Translate and interpretwritten and verbal communications(Japanese English) accurately and contextually
Prepare Japan-quality written artefacts such as emails, status reports,Mom's, and review documents
Delivery & Operational Support
Supportservice delivery managers, technical teams, and PMs by coordinating actions discussed with Japanese stakeholders
Ensureclear understanding of customer expectations, action items, and timelines across teams
Track and follow up on deliverables, risks, dependencies, and open items relevant to Japan delivery
Support incident, change, and service review communications in line with OKI/customer processes
Stakeholder & Process Management
Maintainprofessional conduct aligned withJapanese business etiquette
Ensure communication follows agreedgovernance, escalation, and reporting structures
Proactively highlight communication gaps, risks, or misalignments due to language or cultural differences
Support audits, compliance reporting, and documentation reviews where Japanese validation isrequired
You'llbe the mastermind behindmaintainingandoptimizingtheir systems, ensuringthey'realways running at peak performance.
Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and third-party suppliers.
Ensure delivered solutions are realized in committedtime frameand meet client expectation
Establish a quality management system: tracking of project milestones, quality and KPIs
Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
You will interact with the Account team and Customer, so you are expected to be fluent in Japanese language, understanding Japanese work culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications
4-10 years of overall experience, with at least 2-3 years in a Japan-facing role
Prior experience in IT services, infrastructure support, managed services, or project delivery environments
Minimum JLPT N2 certification (N1 preferred)
Experience working in global delivery / offshore-onshore models
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to communicate confidently with Japanese customers and leadership teams
Excellent Japanese language skills in both translation and interpretation Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, databases, or programming languages is an added advantage
Experience with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow and Jira
Strong documentation, follow-through, and stakeholder management skills
Act as a trusted communicationpartner for Japanese stakeholders
Demonstrate maturity in handling escalations and sensitive customer conversations
Contribute to delivery stability and customer confidence
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:
Certifications in Japanese languageproficiencyJLPT N2 or above
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical individuals
Experience in working with Japanese clients or in a multicultural team is preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good understanding of IT service delivery concepts, including incidents, changes, releases, and SLAs
Experience supporting network, cloud, infrastructure, or security teams
Familiarity with Japanese-style reporting, review meetings, and escalation etiquette
Operate with limited guidance and take ownership of assigned
