Qualification: BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design or related discipline)
Key Skills
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modelling and assembly design
- Hands-on experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape, Creo, or equivalent
- Good understanding of mechanical fundamentals, dimensions, and tolerances
- Ability to create detailed part drawings and basic manufacturing-ready documentation
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping methods such as 3D printing, CNC machining, or laser cutting
- Strong attention to detail and version control discipline
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple modelling iterations under tight timelines
- Proficiency with standard engineering documentation tools (MS Office or equivalent)
Roles And Responsibilities
- Create and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies for rapid design iteration and prototyping
- Prepare 2D drawings and basic BOMs to support prototype fabrication and testing
- Support senior engineers in translating conceptual designs into manufacturable components
- Incorporate feedback from testing, reviews, and prototyping cycles into updated CAD models
- Assist in preparing CAD files for 3D printing, CNC machining, or moulding processes
- Maintain organised CAD libraries, file structures, and revision histories
- Coordinate with fabrication vendors or internal teams to resolve design or fitment issues
- Participate in design reviews and assist in documenting design changes and iterations
- Perform other related duties as assigned
