Role Objective :-
To build and scale a profitable CCTV business in India by defining market strategy, establishing distribution channels, positioning STQC-compliant products, and driving revenue growth across key segments (government, enterprise, and channel partners).
Key Responsibilities
- Market Strategy & Positioning
- Develop go-to-market (GTM) strategy for STQC-compliant CCTV products
- Identify high-potential segments:
- Government (Safe City, Railways, Smart Cities)
- BFSI, retail chains, warehousing, manufacturing
- Residential / SME via channel network
- Position brand as:
- Trusted Indian STQC-compliant solution
- Competing against Chinese incumbents (Hikvision, Dahua Technology)
- Channel Development & Sales Network
- Build and manage:
- National distributor network
- System integrators (SIs)
- Regional dealers
- Onboard and activate:
- Tier-1 & Tier-2 city partners
- Create incentive structures & schemes
- Establish project sales team (B2G + B2B)
- Government & Institutional Business
- Leverage STQC advantage to enter:
- GeM portal
- State tenders
- PSU projects
- Build relationships with:
- Consultants
- EPC contractors
- Government departments
- Drive approvals and empanelments
- Revenue & P&L Ownership
- Own complete business P&L
- Define pricing strategy vs competition
- Achieve:
- Monthly / quarterly revenue targets
- Gross margin targets
- Forecast demand and align with production
- Product & Portfolio Guidance
- Provide market feedback to design team:
- Price vs features benchmarking
- Required SKUs (bullet, dome, PTZ, NVR, AI cameras)
- Ensure alignment with:
- STQC norms
- Indian customer expectations
- Recommend roadmap (AI analytics, VMS, cloud integration)
- Brand Building & Positioning
- Build Make in India + Trusted + Secure positioning
- Develop:
- Channel branding strategy
- Marketing campaigns
- Participation in expos (IFSEC India etc.)
- Team Building
- Hire and lead:
- Regional Sales Heads
- Key Account Managers
- Channel Managers
- Build a high-performance sales culture
Candidate Profile
Must-Have Experience
- 10 – 20 years in:
- CCTV / Video Surveillance industry
- Electronic security industry
- Worked with companies like:
- CP Plus
- Hikvision
- Dahua Technology
- Honeywell
- Bosch Security Systems
Strongly Preferred
- Experience with STQC / government compliance environment
- Existing network of:
- Distributors
- System integrators
- Government contacts
- Proven track record of:
- Scaling revenue from 0 - 50 Cr+
- Launching new brands/products
