Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and deploy integrations between ServiceNow and other internal/external systems using various integration technologies (e.g., REST, SOAP, JDBC, ODBC, PowerShell, MID Server, integration hubs).
Lead the technical implementation of ITSM-related integrations, including incidents, problems, changes, service requests, CMDB, and Discovery.
Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and stakeholders to gather integration requirements, define technical specifications, and ensure successful delivery.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for all integrations, including design, configuration, and troubleshooting guides.
Perform code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and maintain high-quality integration solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, working closely with various teams and vendors.
Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates, new integration capabilities, and industry best practices.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members as needed.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment and post-implementation support.
Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of all integrated solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer with a strong focus on integrations.
Proven experience with ITSM module integrations (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, CMDB, Discovery).
Expertise in various ServiceNow integration methods and technologies:
o REST API (inbound and outbound)
o SOAP API (inbound and outbound)
o Integration Hub (Spokes, ETL)
o MID Server (installation, configuration, and scripting)
o Scripted REST APIs
o Business Rules, Script Includes, Workflows
o Transform Maps, Data Sources, Scheduled Imports
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, and other scripting languages relevant to ServiceNow development.
Experience with data transformation and mapping techniques.
Solid understanding of ITIL processes and their application within ServiceNow.
Ability to analyze complex technical and business requirements to design effective integration solutions.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification(s) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITOM, CSM, HRSD).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Knowledge of various enterprise applications commonly integrated with ServiceNow (e.g., Active Directory, SCCM, HRIS, monitoring tools, ERP systems).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
