Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Asset Analyst with extensive experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) using ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing software licenses, certificates, and integrations with enterprise tools such as Intune, SCCM, and ServiceNow Discovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize software assets across the organization using ServiceNow SAM Pro.
- Maintain accurate records of software licenses, entitlements, and usage to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.
- Administer and enhance the Certificate Management module in ServiceNow, ensuring timely renewals and compliance.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to manage digital certificates and software licensing lifecycle.
- Integrate ServiceNow with tools like Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Discovery for automated asset tracking and reconciliation.
- Maintain and improve CMDB data quality, ensuring accurate relationships and dependencies.
- Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into software usage, compliance, and optimization opportunities.
- Support audits and ensure alignment with internal policies and external regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the ITAM/SAM framework.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Asset Management or Software Asset Management.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, specifically SAM Pro and Certificate
- Management modules. Strong understanding of software licensing models (perpetual, subscription, SaaS).
- Experience with CMDB management and integrations with Intune, SCCM, and ServiceNow
- Discovery. Familiarity with ITIL processes and ITSM frameworks. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Software Asset Management.
- Experience with scripting and automation in ServiceNow (e.g., Business Rules, Workflows).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to certificate management.
- Experience in enterprise environments with large-scale software deployments.
