Job Title: IT Systems Automation & Integration Engineer

Location: On-site (VSEZ Duvvada, Visakhapatnam)

Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on IT Systems Automation & Integration Engineer to improve and automate workflows across our biodiesel plant operations. This role involves connecting different systems (such as ANPR/camera systems, gate entry systems, biometric devices, employee onboarding systems, and internal tools), reducing manual work, and building reliable automation pipelines.

You will work directly with management to understand processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement practical automation solutions using scripting, APIs, and AWS cloud services. This is a high-ownership role where you will gradually build and manage the plant's internal automation layer.

Key Responsibilities

• Study and understand existing systems (ANPR, gate entry, biometric, HRMS, etc.) and how data flows between them

• Identify manual processes and design simple, effective automation solutions

• Build scripts and small services to connect systems and automate workflows

• Implement event-based logic (e.g., alerts if actions are not completed within defined time limits)

• Automate employee onboarding processes, including:

• Email/account creation

• Access control setup

• Biometric system integration

• License and permissions assignment

• Build alerting systems using WhatsApp, Teams, or email

• Integrate systems using APIs, databases, or file-based methods

• Use AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, etc.) to deploy and manage automations

• Add logging, retry mechanisms, and basic monitoring to ensure reliability

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple systems

• Maintain clear documentation of systems and automations

• Work closely with internal teams (IT, HR, Admin, Security) to understand and implement requirements

Required Skills

• Basic to intermediate experience in Python scripting

• Working knowledge of Node.js (preferred)

• Familiarity with APIs, JSON, and system integrations

• Basic understanding of AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, etc.)

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

• Ability to work with incomplete information and figure things out independently

Additional skills

• Experience with automation tools or workflow systems

• Familiarity with biometric systems, CCTV/ANPR, or access control systems

• Basic knowledge of SQL/databases

• Understanding of event-driven systems or queues

• Experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 automation
