Role Description This is a full-time, on-site System Administrator role based in Gurugram. The System Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, workstations, and core IT infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system performance, managing user accounts and permissions, performing regular backups, and ensuring system security and data integrity. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, coordinating with vendors, and providing timely technical support to internal teams. The System Administrator will also help document IT procedures, support IT audits and compliance requirements, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, scalability, and efficiency of the IT environment.
Qualifications
  • Strong system administration skills, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of servers and operating systems.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and technical support experience for hardware, software, and user issues in a business environment.
  • Knowledge of network administration, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and basic routing and switching concepts.
  • Broad understanding of information technology fundamentals, including security best practices, backup and recovery, and asset management.
  • Relevant academic background such as a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux server environments, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and cloud services is preferred.
  • Ability to document procedures, follow compliance requirements, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks on-site.
