Job Description:

IT System Administrator Forbes Marketplace, a dynamic and fully remote company with approximately 600 employees globally, is seeking an IT System Administrator to support our internal user base. This position necessitates a versatile individual who can learn and administer an evolving and diverse technology suite, ensure compliance with security standards, and embrace industry best practices. As a dedicated and resourceful individual contributor within our lean IT team, you will assist with our entire IT landscape. This includes Microsoft 365 and SaaS administration, project planning and execution, security compliance, end user support escalations, and more. We are fully cloud-based, with no physical infrastructure and no non-SaaS systems. This team is not responsible for production infrastructure in AWS, GCP, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft 365 Administration
    • Administer and maintain Entra features like creating and editing Conditional Access Policies and implementing new Enterprise Applications to facilitate Single Sign On, SCIM provisioning, and other internal use cases.
    • Manage Intune MDM features like OS and software deployments and updates, device configuration and compliance policies, and zero touch deployment for both macOS and Windows devices.
    • Triage and resolve Defender vulnerabilities, risky users, and endpoint alerts. Maintain email anti-spam policies.
    • Manage sharing policies and permissions in OneDrive and SharePoint.
    • Maintain and update sensitivity labels, classifiers, DLP policies, and retention settings in Purview.
    • Manage mailboxes, troubleshoot mail flow, and implement security best practices like SPF, DMARC, and DKIM in Exchange Online.
  • Automation
    • Candidates should be comfortable identifying opportunities to automate repetitive and time-consuming manual processes and implementing solutions with tools like Azure Functions, Power Automate, Zapier, etc.
  • Tech Support & Escalation
    • Act as an escalation point for front line support to meet internal OLAs. This requires strong troubleshooting skills and resourcefulness.
    • Execute onboarding and offboarding tasks, including provisioning and deprovisioning accounts, hardware, and system access.
    • Proactively identify recurring issues, find solutions, and document them for IT playbooks and user self-service.
  • Third-Party SaaS Products:
    • Administer and configure a variety SaaS products including Atlassian, Slack, Adobe, Miro, and more.
    • Support efforts to deduplicate our SaaS suite, creating a single consistent tool set across all business areas.
    • Support the standardization of account provisioning within third party systems with SAML SSO and SCIM provisioning.
    • Assist with identification and reconciliation of shadow IT systems.
  • Vendor Relationships:
    • Interact with and maintain relationships with assigned vendors.
    • Participate in software renewal processes.
  • Leadership
    • Serve as a utility player for other team members by mentoring and training as needed.
    • Build trust and relationships with internal stakeholders through excellent customer service.
    • Recommend technology, tool, or process changes to improve efficiency.

Qualifications:


  • Expert level administrative experience with the Microsoft 365 suite including Entra, Intune, Defender, SharePoint, Purview, Teams, and Exchange.
  • Strong experience in IT Operations and troubleshooting, supporting an internal user base in a remote and international environment.
  • Strong experience administering SaaS platforms.
  • Experience managing third party M365 backup platforms.
  • Experience working with ITSM platforms.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting an evolving variety of technologies.
  • Critical thinking, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and able to work independently at pace.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
