Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We seek a skilled IT Support Specialist to manage and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with FortiGate firewalls, VMware, Active Directory, Office 365, operating system installations, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Windows patching, ManageEngine, and McAfee security solutions. This role requires a proactive individual capable of troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring the seamless operation of all IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
o Install, configure, and maintain VMware environments
o Monitor performance and ensure high availability of virtual machines
o Manage snapshots, backups, and disaster recovery processes
o Troubleshot VM, storage, and host-level issues
Active Directory Administration (Advanced Level Required):
· Office 365 / Microsoft 365 Administration (Advanced Level Required):
o Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration in enterprise environments
o Advanced management of Exchange Online (mail flow, connectors, transport rules, hybrid configurations)
o Administration of Teams and SharePoint Online, including policies, permissions, and governance
o Manage Azure AD / Entra ID, including conditional access, MFA, and identity security
o Troubleshoot complex issues related to authentication, mail delivery, and user access
o Manage licensing, security policies, and compliance features
o Configure and monitor security & compliance tools (DLP, retention policies, audit logs)
o Experience with hybrid environments (on-prem AD + Microsoft 365 integration)
o Plan, schedule, and deploy Windows updates and security patches across servers and endpoints
o Manage patching using tools like Manage Engine, Action1, or equivalent solutions
o Ensure compliance with organizational patching policies and security standards
o Test patches in controlled environments before production rollout
o Coordinate maintenance windows to minimize downtime and business impact
o Maintain detailed patching reports and audit records
o Perform system hardening and ensure systems remain secure and up to date
· Qualifications & Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
o Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT administration or a similar role
o Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate Firewall, including configuration, VPNs, and security policies
o Proficiency in managing VMware environments, including virtual machines, resource allocation, and troubleshooting
o Advanced knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy management (enterprise-level administration)
o Advanced experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and identity management
o Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, routing, and network security best practices)
o Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including compute, networking, and basic cloud architecture
o Strong experience with Windows Server and Desktop environments, including installation, configuration, and enterprise-level patch management
o Hands-on experience with patching tools such as Windows Server Update Services or equivalent solutions
o Experience with IT management and monitoring tools such as ManageEngine
Preferred Certifications:
· VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
· Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
· CompTIA Network+ or Security+
· Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE)
· Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect Associate
