Role: IT Executive

Role Overview:
The IT Executive will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring uninterrupted operation of systems and networks across the organisation. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, coordinating with vendors, supporting end users, and assisting with basic database and application support.
Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Provide first-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve operating system issues (Windows, macOS, Linux) and application-related problems.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain hardware and software systems.
Network & Systems Management:
- Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi networks, and overall connectivity.
- Assist in server administration, user account creation, and access management.
- Support troubleshooting of VPNs, firewalls, routers, and network switches.
IT Asset & Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware, accessories, and software licences.
- Coordinate timely repair, upgrades, and replacement of IT equipment.
- Manage AMC vendors and external service providers.
Security & Compliance:
- Ensure regular antivirus updates, system patches, and data backups.
- Adhere to IT security policies and data protection standards.
- Identify and escalate security incidents to the IT Manager as required.
User Support & Training:
- Assist employees with software usage, email configuration, and IT best practices.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including system access setup and deactivation.
Vendor Coordination & Documentation:
- Liaise with external vendors for IT procurement, maintenance, and service-related issues.
- Maintain documentation such as network diagrams, system configurations, and support logs.
Database & Application Support:
- Provide basic support for internal databases and business applications.
- Perform basic SQL operations (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE) for data verification and reporting.
- Assist with database backups, restores, and routine health checks under supervision.
- Coordinate with application vendors or developers for database-related concerns.
Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, MS Office, and standard business applications.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Familiarity with system backups, recovery processes, and antivirus tools.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of SQL (MySQL / MS SQL Server) and database fundamentals.
- Understanding of database structures, relationships, and simple queries.
- Exposure to ERP, CRM, or accounting software will be an added advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 13 years of experience in IT support or system administration (fresh graduates may also be considered).
- Relevant certifications such as A+, N+, CCNA, or MCSA are preferred.
