About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and reliable IT Support Engineer to manage and support our IT infrastructure in a manufacturing environment. This role covers end-user support, hardware and network management, cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure), and ERP system support (Odoo), with a strong focus on security and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Odoo ERP Support
- Support Odoo modules: Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing
- Assist users with day-to-day operations and troubleshooting
- Coordinate with developers/vendors for bug fixes and enhancements
- Manage user roles, permissions, and data integrity
- Support reporting, data import/export, and user training
Hardware & Network Support
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues; coordinate with vendors for repairs
- Manage LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi networks, routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
Cloud & Infrastructure Management (Azure)
- Deploy, monitor, and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily Microsoft Azure)
- Manage virtual machines, storage, networking, and backups
- Administer user access, security groups, and system updates
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans
- Ensure system performance, availability, and cost optimization
IT Security & Compliance
- Enforce IT security policies and best practices
- Manage user access using least privilege principles
- Ensure endpoint protection, patching, and vulnerability management
- Monitor systems for threats and respond to incidents
- Implement data protection measures (backup, encryption, access control)
Software & User Support
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS and business applications
- Provide support for Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
- Manage user accounts, licenses, permissions, and security policies
- Maintain documentation and track issues via a ticketing system
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Equivalent practical experience may be considered
Technical Skills
- Experience with Odoo ERP (Must Have)
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and user administration
- Proficiency in Windows; basic Linux knowledge is a plus
- Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Familiarity with IT security best practices
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Basic SQL and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Shell) is a plus
Certifications (Preferred)
- Microsoft Azure (AZ-900, AZ-104)
- Microsoft 365 certifications
- CompTIA / ITIL / Security+ (nice to have)
