About The Role

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our local IT team in Bangalore. This role is critical in ensuring seamless day-to-day IT operations for a modern engineering workforce using MacBooks, laptops, collaboration tools, and enterprise systems. The candidate will be required to work from office during all the weekdays (Week off on Saturday and Sunday).

You will be the face of IT for end-users—providing hands-on support, resolving technical issues, and ensuring high-quality employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementation and support of desktop devices, applications, peripherals, telephone systems, network devices.
  • Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and network-related issues (MacBooks, Windows laptops, peripherals, etc.)
  • Perform upgrade services (adding to or changing a workgroup computer, workgroup peripheral, or software) as specified in the Service Request
  • Manage and resolve incidents and service requests via ServiceNow, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Support conference room technologies, including Cisco collaboration devices, AV systems and video conferencing setups.
  • Assist with user onboarding/offboarding, including device provisioning, access setup, and account management.
  • Monitor and maintain local IT infrastructure, including Wi-Fi systems, access points, and basic server health.
  • Configure, install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot hardware systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis to quickly recover from service interruptions, and to prevent recurring problems.
  • Collaborate with global IT teams for escalations and major incidents.
  • Maintain documentation for common issues, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures while ensuring compliance to set processes at all times.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional communication and timely resolution.
  • Experience supporting modern workplace environments (SaaS tools, MDM tools like Jamf/Intune) will be a plus.
  • Support periodic IT audits, asset management, and compliance activities.

Technical Competencies

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in: Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics Or equivalent practical experience. (Full time)
  • 5—12 years of experience in IT support / desktop support / end-user computing roles.
  • Experience supporting engineering teams and/or tech environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with: Mandatory skills:
  • Mac OS and Windows OStroubleshooting.
  • Laptop hardware diagnostics and repair coordination.
  • Enterprise tools like ServiceNow (incident & request management)
  • Working knowledge of: Good to have
  • Networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN troubleshooting.
  • Cisco collaboration tools / AV conferencing system.
  • Identity and access management (Active Directory / PING).
  • Basic understanding of local servers, printers, and endpoint security tools.

  • Prior experience in a large GCC / enterprise / corporate IT environment preferred.
