Job Summary:
The Software Solutions & Digitalization Engineer will design, develop, and maintain web-based solutions for manufacturing operations, lead digitalization initiatives, and provide IT technical support. The role involves migrating legacy MES applications, implementing production monitoring systems, and ensuring cybersecurity and compliance in manufacturing IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Software Solution Development & Digitalization
- Design, develop, and implement web-based solutions for localization projects, e.g., Circuit Breaker Assembly: Product traceability, production monitoring, and order allocation.
- Lead migration of desktop-based MES applications to modern web platforms per Siemens guidelines.
- Create dynamic dashboards and reports for Production, Quality, Plant Management, and suppliers.
- Plan and execute IT-enabled manufacturing processes like SQL-based Label Printing and Laser Marking.
- Generate comprehensive documentation for all software solutions, including source code and database management.
2. IT Technical Support & Maintenance
- Provide on-site and remote IT support for software, networking, hardware, and peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve IT issues and escalate unresolved issues to Local, Central, or Global IT teams.
- Manage and maintain IT asset inventory, including server/PC upgrades and patching.
3. Compliance & Cybersecurity
- Ensure adherence to Siemens EHS and Information Security policies.
- Support local and global cybersecurity audits and resolve any deviations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Mandatory / Primary Technical Skills:
- Front-end: Angular, ASP.NET, ASP.NET CORE, ReactJS
- Backend: C, C#, Python, NodeJS
- Database Management: SQL Server, MongoDB
- Basic understanding of Product Traceability & Production Scheduling
Desired / Secondary Technical Skills:
- Industrial protocols: RS232, Ethernet communication
- Data Analytics, Power BI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Machine Vision
- Experience in Make-to-Order & Make-to-Stock manufacturing
- Knowledge of Raspberry Pi and data formats: XML, JSON
