IT Security Officer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Security Officer to support the organisation's cybersecurity and risk management initiatives. In this role, you will be responsiblefor securing web, mobile, and cloud applications by performing security assessments, threat modelling, vulnerability management, and integrating security controls into the software development lifecycle.

Salary package: Up to $10,000 + AWS

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct application security reviews, threat modelling, and risk assessments.
• Identify, track, and remediate security vulnerabilities.
• Review application architectures, APIs, and cloud deployments for security risks.
• Integrate security testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Manage SAST tools such as Fortify and SonarQube.
• Provide secure coding guidance and security awareness training.
• Collaborate with development, cloud, and project teams to improve security posture.
  
  

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software development, application security, and/or cloud computing.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, OWASP ASVS, threat modelling, and secure SDLC.
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, SSL/TLS, Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Experience with security scanning tools and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
