Job Description

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site IT Sales Consultant role based in Chennai. The IT Sales Consultant will identify and engage potential clients, focusing on promoting information technology solutions and services. Responsibilities include generating and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and product presentations, and understanding client requirements to propose suitable IT offerings.

The role involves managing the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and proposal development to negotiation and closing new business. The IT Sales Consultant will maintain accurate sales records, collaborate with internal teams for solution alignment, and work toward achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets. Ongoing activities include building strong client relationships, tracking market trends, and proactively identifying new business opportunities in the IT sector.

Qualifications

  • Strong IT Sales experience with a proven track record in selling technology solutions and services.
  • Demonstrated ability in New Business Development and Lead Generation, including prospecting, pipeline management, and closing deals.
  • Good understanding of Information Technology concepts to confidently discuss solutions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships, with a consultative and customer-focused sales approach.
  • Comfort working with sales targets, CRM tools, and basic sales reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous experience in B2B sales or IT services sales, especially within the Chennai or broader Indian market, is an advantage.
  • Needs Analysis: Conduct a detailed analysis of customer requirements and business processes to identify suitable ERP modules.
  • Proposal Development: Create compelling and tailored proposals that address customer needs and showcase the value of our ERP services.
  • Sales Execution: Lead the sales process from initial contact to closing the deal, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales targets.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the technical and implementation teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and customer success.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and new developments in ERP solutions to provide informed recommendations to clients.
