Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Delivery Manager to support the successful delivery of technology projects within a banking environment. The role involves end-to-end project coordination, governance, stakeholder management, risk tracking, and ensuring project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery Support
- Manage project activities from initiation through closure, ensuring deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Develop, maintain, and track project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Prepare Steering Committee (SteerCo) presentations, reports, and meeting materials.
- Review and document meeting minutes, ensuring actions and decisions are tracked to closure.
- Coordinate project activities across platform, infrastructure, system delivery, and release management teams.
Process, Governance & Methodology
- Ensure adherence to project delivery methodologies, governance frameworks, and control processes.
- Monitor project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies and drive mitigation plans.
- Maintain project risk, issue, and dependency registers.
- Work closely with the Bank's Project Manager to manage overall project plans and delivery schedules.
- Ensure project deliverables are clearly defined, understood, and tracked across all workstreams.
- Provide regular project status updates, risk assessments, issue escalations, and progress reports to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Bank Project Managers, IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
- Facilitate effective communication across project teams to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Escalate critical risks and issues proactively and drive resolution.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support project audits, governance reviews, and compliance activities.
- Assist with project documentation, reporting, and other project-related tasks assigned by the Bank Project Manager.
- Contribute to project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Project Management, PMO, Project Delivery, or Project Coordination.
- Experience managing technology projects within Banking, Financial Services, or regulated industries is preferred.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, and delivery frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N2 or JLPT N1 preferred).
- Ability to communicate with Japanese stakeholders and support cross-border project coordination.
- PMP, Prince2, Agile, Scrum, or related certifications are advantageous
Preferred Skills
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience.
- Familiarity with SDLC, Infrastructure Delivery, Release Management, and Technology Implementations.
- Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- PMP, Prince2, Agile, Scrum, or related project management certifications are an advantage.
