Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced IT Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing IT equipment, software, and services to meet the organization's needs while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand IT requirements and develop procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
  2. Source and evaluate suppliers/vendors to ensure they meet the organization's standards for quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  3. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to secure favourable agreements while mitigating risks.
  4. Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order, ensuring timely delivery of IT goods and services.
  5. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier/vendor performance metrics.
  6. Monitor market trends and technology advancements to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  8. Stay updated on relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to IT procurement.
  9. Assist in budget planning and forecasting by providing insights into IT procurement costs and trends.
  10. Resolve any issues or disputes with vendors in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. (Preferred)
  2. Proven experience in IT procurement, preferably in a corporate environment.
  3. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favourable terms.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Knowledge of IT products, services, and market trends.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
