IT-OT Engineer

Location: Gurgaon | Experience: 3-6 years

Role: Connect shop-floor systems with IT platforms using Ignition, MES, Python, and LLM-based solutions, following ISA-95 and Industrial DataOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy SCADA/MES solutions on Ignition
• Implement MES modules (production tracking, OEE, traceability) aligned with ISA-95
• Design Industrial DataOps pipelines: contextualized, standardized data from shop floor to cloud (Unified Namespace)
• Build data pipelines using OPC-UA, MQTT/Sparkplug-B, Modbus
• Develop Python tools and APIs (FastAPI) with clean, OOP-based design
• Build LLM-powered shop-floor use cases (downtime analysis, maintenance assistants, natural-language queries on production data)
• Troubleshoot IT-OT connectivity and network issues

Must-Have

• Hands-on experience with Ignition (Perspective, Vision, scripting)
• End-to-end MES implementation experience
• Good understanding of ISA-95 (Levels 0-4, equipment hierarchy, data models)
• Industrial DataOps: data modeling, contextualization, UNS concepts
• Python with strong OOP concepts
• OPC-UA, MQTT/Sparkplug-B, Modbus
• Exposure to LLMs: prompt engineering, APIs (OpenAI/Azure OpenAI), RAG
• Good IT skills: SQL, Linux/Windows, networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls)

Good to Have: HighByte, Docker, Azure/AWS, vector databases, LangChain, OT cybersecurity

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Computer Science
