What's the role

You will work in a virtual team of global HRIT DevOps organization, responsible for providing HR System Support to all Shell employees, external candidates, and extended enterprise, on implemented HR SaaS solutions. You will be part of SAP Fieldglass DevOps team, supporting SAP Fieldglass functionality that is an integral part of Contingent Workforce Management.

You will be deeply involved in end-to-end system features implementation, from design, configuration, testing and defects resolution to post deployment maintenance and troubleshooting. You will be required to understand both the technical and business side of Contingent Workforce processes, to deliver greater business impact and improved employee experience in a more affordable way.

What you'll be doing

The main accountabilities of HR DevOps Engineer are:

  • Ensure solid understanding of user needs, clarify and capture requirements, including impact analysis in end-to-end landscape for SAP Fieldglass, associated integrations and any connected systems pertaining.
  • Translate user requirements into technical solution and optimal system configuration, utilizing best practices and technical documentation available in internally and externally.
  • Administer SAP Fieldglass - create change to the system and manage individual requests for system maintenance through managing configuration of the system and robust end to end testing (both positive and negative), without interruption to the end users.
  • Troubleshoot and fix SAP Fieldglass related incidents and proactively search for resolution on any technical issues. Cooperate with other system support teams to drive the issue to resolution.
  • Stay up to date with SAP Fieldglass Product development, analyse new releases, test and recommend features that can contribute to enhancing user experiences and more effective execution of business processes.
  • Ensure overall understanding and application of HRIT strategy, with focus on building in-dept understanding of roadmap for Contingent Workforce, in full alignment with Product Owner and Process/Experience Lead.
  • Cooperate with HR Business Engagement Team and provide support for ongoing communication and upskilling of users, maintenance of required documentation and engagement materials - reflecting ongoing changes in the Core HR area.
  • Engage on daily basis with colleagues from HRIT DevOps Team (Product Owner, Scrum Master, DevOps Analysts, DevOps Engineers, security, IRM & other IT and HR areas specialists) and actively participate in scrum ceremonies – with strong emphasis on teamwork and close collaboration.
  • Support backlog refinement, spring planning and delivery of committed work, by providing technical suggestions, estimating required effort, identifying risks and dependencies, and surfacing impediments.

What we need from you

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and minimum 3+ years of experience in information technology
  • Good knowledge of Contingent Workforce processes or relevant experience with HR systems - preferably with global exposure and track of CI improvements and/or
  • Technical knowledge & configuration skills in SAP Fieldglass application
  • Good knowledge of CP processes related to contingent workforce and/or
  • Good knowledge of Finance and AP processes related to ERS auto posting.
  • Good knowledge of system integrations and able to troubleshoot issues in SAP Fieldglass landscape & integrations to multiple systems
  • Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation and to establish and maintain good working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in HR and IT areas
  • Skill in investigating and fixing complex issues across organizational boundaries
  • Proven ability to define business needs and translate them into system and/or process requirements
  • Gathering requirements in a high-quality manner to establish that meets the business requirement
  • Strong and proven problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a team oriented, collaborative environment, fast paced and handle planned and unplanned responsibilities
  • Influencing and showcasing stakeholder management skills
  • Awareness/knowledge of agile project management methodologies, scrum ceremonies and DevOps ways of working
  • Knowledge of HR systems & applications (e.g. Workday, Salesforce, etc.) and understanding of IT organization and ways of working will be an asset.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
