Experience & Qualifications
- Total Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive IT experience.
- Leadership: 3+ years managing technical support or operations teams.
- Environment: Deep background in production enterprise application hosting.
Core Technical Skills
- Linux Systems: Proficient with enterprise distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu).
- Infrastructure Management: Understanding of Linux CLI, user permissions, and file systems.
- Application Servers: Management experience with supporting Linux based applications
- Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with industry standard monitoring tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and schedule a rotating Linux support engineering team.
- Incident Management: Act as the major incident commander for high-priority application outages.
- After-Hours Escalation: Serve as the primary point of contact for critical overnight and weekend severity-1 events.
- SLA Enforcement: Track, report, and maintain application availability and response time goals.
- Process Optimization: Standardize runbooks, root cause analysis (RCA), and escalation workflows.
