Job Description

IT Officer

Location: Kolkata

Job Type: In-Person

Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining computer systems, monitoring IT infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth functioning of hardware, software, network systems, and equipment across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all types of hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including system updates, antivirus updates, and system backups.
  • Check all computers for proper installation and functioning of Microsoft Office.
  • Coordinate with the Microsoft Office service/contact person whenever required.
  • Need to check Microsoft Outlook configuration and functionality for all users.
  • Ensure email accounts are properly configured and functioning on all systems.
  • Email-related issues to check including synchronization, sending/receiving problems, and mailbox setup.
  • Perform regular checks of the server room including servers, UPS systems, networking equipment, and environmental conditions to ensure uninterrupted

operations.

  • Monitor and maintain all office printers.
  • Perform regular checks of CCTV cameras to ensure proper functioning and

recording.

  • Maintain and monitor PA systems, company mobile phone configurations, and other IT-related devices.
  • Ensure proper functioning and settings of company mobile devices used for business operations.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications used within the

organization.

  • Provide user support and guidance when required.
  • Maintain records of IT assets and stock inventory including hardware and software.

Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network Management.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in:

  • Operating Systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications
  • Email systems (Microsoft Outlook)
  • Basic hardware troubleshooting
  • IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow or similar)

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple IT tasks and priorities
  • Network
  • Firewall - Sophos
  • Endpoint - Sophos
  • Microsoft 365
  • Network Attached Storage (NAS)
  • Tally Server
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Network utilities like Printers
