Network & IT Infrastructure Management
• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain the hospital's LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, uptime, and reliability; proactively resolve connectivity issues.
• Manage IP addressing, VLANs, switching, and routing across all hospital locations and departments.
• Administer and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, access points, and patch panels.
Firewall & Network Security
• Install, configure, and manage firewalls (e.g., Sophos, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, pfSense, or similar).
• Define and maintain firewall rules, ACLs, and VPN configurations.
• Monitor for security threats, intrusions, and vulnerabilities; implement corrective measures promptly.
• Ensure data security and compliance with hospital IT policies and healthcare data protection norms.
ESSL Server & Biometric / Access Control Systems
• Install, configure, and administer ESSL attendance/biometric servers and devices.
• Manage employee attendance data, device synchronization, and software updates.
• Troubleshoot ESSL hardware and software issues; coordinate with the vendor as required.
• Ensure accurate integration of ESSL data with HR/payroll systems.
CCTV / CC Camera Systems
• Plan, install, and maintain IP-based and analog CCTV surveillance systems across hospital premises.
• Manage NVR/DVR recording systems, storage, and camera health monitoring.
• Ensure camera coverage aligns with hospital security requirements and compliance standards.
• Perform regular audits, maintenance, and troubleshooting of camera systems.
Server & Systems Administration
• Manage Windows/Linux servers — installation, configuration, patch management, and backup.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file/print servers.
• Ensure scheduled backups, disaster recovery plans, and data restoration procedures are in place.
• Monitor server performance and storage utilization; escalate or resolve issues promptly.
Hardware Support & Maintenance
• Provide L1/L2 desktop support including computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Maintain hardware inventory; coordinate procurement and vendor management for IT assets.
• Perform structured cabling, cable management, and network rack organization.
• Support installation of new workstations, IT equipment, and departmental expansions.
Helpdesk & User Support
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related incidents and service requests.
• Provide timely end-user support across all hospital departments — clinical, administrative, and operations.
• Document issues, resolutions, and IT assets through a helpdesk or ticketing system.
• Train hospital staff on basic IT usage, security awareness, and system protocols.
While not mandatory, candidates with the following HMS knowledge will be given preference:
• Familiarity with Hospital Management Software (HMS) / Hospital Information System (HIS) platforms.
• Experience supporting HMS modules such as OPD, IPD, Billing, Pharmacy, Lab, Radiology, or EMR.
• Ability to troubleshoot HMS application issues and coordinate with software vendors.
• Basic knowledge of database administration (SQL/MySQL) to support HMS reporting and queries.
• Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and system support.
• Prior experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare IT environment is a strong advantage.
