What's This Role About
We are seeking a seasoned IT Manager with expertise in IT operations & compliance to lead and strengthen the Bhanzu's IT infrastructure, cybersecurity posture, and regulatory compliance framework.
This role plays a critical part in enabling business continuity (BCP), protecting sensitive data, and supporting a large, distributed workforce in a high-growth EdTech environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of hands-on technical expertise, security and compliance leadership, operational maturity, and startup agility.
What You'll Be Doing
1. IT Operations & Management
• Manage end-to-end IT operations including incident, request, and problem management.
• Design, implement, and optimize Google workspace ecosystems.
• Ensure availability and scalability of IT systems supporting 1000+ users (WFO+WFH)
• Act as a POC for IT-requisitions and queries (IT-Assets, infrastructure, IT-compliance).
• Manage tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft-365, Adobe and other cross functional AI tools.
2. IT-Assets, Endpoint, & Access Management
• Oversee provisioning and de-provisioning of IT access for joiners, movers, and exits.
• Enforce conditional access and least-privilege access controls.
• Manage lifecycle of IT-Assets (Windows, Mac, Sophos Firewall and peripherals etc).
• Oversee MDM tools such as Intune, JamF, and Sure MDM.
3. IT Security & Compliance
• Lead data protection and IT compliance initiatives as per CERT-in norms.
• Integrate network security controls including firewall rules, endpoint, antivirus, EDR, and access policies
• Conduct access reviews and entitlement audits on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Define IT security policies and SOPs to drive CERT-in/ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2 audits.
• Act as a POC for IT, network, and security issues. Conduct security audits, vulnerability/risk assessments.
• Drive employee awareness on cybersecurity best practices and data protection
4. Network & Security Management
• Ensure high network availability, performance, and redundancy with minimal downtime.
• Manage firewalls, routers, switches, access points, and network monitoring tools to avoid downtime.
• Coordinate with externals (co-working space/ISPs for resolution, upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and breaches.
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's/Maters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science – Engineering
• Google Workspace Administrator certification
• ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer / Internal Auditor
• SOC 2 Awareness or Practitioner certification
• CERT-In compliance exposure or training
• Network & Security certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CEH, Security+ (preferred)
• Endpoint / MDM certifications (Intune, Jamf, Sophos, SureMDM)
• handling statutory documentation is preferred.
