ROLE TITLE: IT Lead / Manager

About The Job

The IT Lead's responsibilities include working with a team of IT specialists to design, set up and maintain a network of computers, including hardware, software, and system architecture. You will be in charge of overseeing digital security and performing maintenance to ensure that the system is operating at full capacity. You will also be tasked with installing hardware and software when necessary. You will be in charge of verifying correctness of hardware against the reference BOM and also liaising with different vendors for obtaining the best quote for a reference hardware specification.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the development and installation of new networking and computing infrastructures.
• Selecting the best possible solutions using knowledge of a wide range of available technologies.
• Monitoring systems in the existing network to ensure there are no productivity set-backs.
• Installing and configuring operating systems and application software.
• Implementing best practices for system security and data backups.
• Anticipating potential issues or bottlenecks and identifying possible solutions.
• Troubleshooting and resolving all technical issues when they arise.
• Communicating effectively with IT support staff to ensure the setup process runs smoothly.
• Liaising with vendors and keeping relevant stakeholders up to date with developments.
• Identifying vulnerabilities in our current network.
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive plan to secure our computing network.
• Monitoring network usage to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Keeping up to date with developments in IT security standards and threats.
• Performing penetration tests to find any flaws.
• Collaborating with management and the IT department to improve security.
• Documenting any security breaches and assessing their damage.
• Educating colleagues about security software and best practices for information security.
  
  

Minimum Qualification

• 12+ years of practical IT Service Management experience of which at least 3 years is in a Lead Role.
• Experience of global and strategic transformation/programs and driving change in a complex global organization.
• Experience in setting up virtualization environment (mandatory).
• Experience of working with vendors in delivering IT service.
• Experience in networking, storage and Data Centre management.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent) / Diploma in IT with solid track record.
