We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist with a strong background in managing and optimizing IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 6-15 years of relevant experience and a deep understanding of cloud technologies, network security, and overall infrastructure architecture. Responsibilities
Infrastructure Planning and Design:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure, architecture, blueprints and documentation.
- Ensure a strategic, aligned approach to planning and implementation, with clear understanding and management of risks.
Cloud Technologies
- Possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with leading cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
- Optimize cloud services for cost, performance, and reliability.
Network Security
- Implement and maintain robust network security measures to safeguard the organization's data and systems.
- Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary security controls.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats and technologies to proactively address potential risks.
- Configure and manage firewall rules to ensure correct traffic and port access (allow/deny).
Infrastructure Monitoring And Optimization
- Leverage automation and AI-driven solutions to enhance infrastructure operations.
- Implement monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of the infrastructure.
- Proactively identify and address bottlenecks, performance issues, and system outages.
- Continuously optimize infrastructure for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
Disaster Recovery And Business Continuity
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Conduct regular drills and testing to ensure the effectiveness of recovery procedures
Vendor Management
- Work with vendors to evaluate, select, and implement infrastructure solutions.
- Manage relationships with key infrastructure-related vendors.
Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with IT teams, including development, operations, and security, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to infrastructure management.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the infrastructure team.
Good Knowledge Of VMware
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of VMware environments.
- Build and configure VMs as per project requirements, ensuring they are secure and vulnerability-free before production release.
- Manage patching of infrastructure servers to ensure 100% compliance.
Process And Governance
- Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Participate in incident, problem, and root cause analysis (RCA) processes to improve system reliability.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for timely communication, reporting, and issue resolution.
Qualifications
- 6-15 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
- Experience with virtualization technologies and containerization.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certification, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are a plus.
